Kadamakudy

Is there anything like the Mother's love, or the native town where one grew up?. Varapuzha is the place where I spent my childhood, so it is very special to my heart. No other place on earth can take it's place away. Despite development, it is still easy and relaxing. Yesterday I was at kadamakudy, just a stone's throw away from Chettibhagam, the town centre which is the epicenter of activity in the small township, yes, I am acknowledging the fact that it is no more a village, but a small township which still holds the character of a village. As usual kadamakudy was beautiful with its chemmeen kettu, acres and acres of  paddy fields doubling up as prawn hatcheries for half of the year. During summer, this place provides beautiful sunsets. If you know the chemmeen kettu owners, you can feast on tiger prawns without draining your pocket much. This is the habitat for several species of the migratory birds. A great place for those who love sunsets, nature, photography, long walks and sea food. There is a toddy shop there as well. Can be reached by boat from ernakulam. It is only thirty minutes drive away from ernakulam via the container terminal road.
